The new Pro version of ACDSee Video Converter has improved its already fast conversion engine and its clever use of the CUDA technology to provide fast re-encoding processes. What hasn’t changed is its wide range of input and output formats supported (including many High Definition video codecs), its intuitive and attractive interface, and its high level of flexibility.

Though probably its main asset, video conversion is not the only task this versatile tool performs. Actually, you can rip and burn DVDs, watch your videos, take snapshots of your favorite frames, extract any of the soundtracks on your videos and DVDs, trim your video files to leave out unwanted sections, and share your converted files with your Facebook and Twitter contacts or upload them directly to YouTube without using any third-party application.

Actually, another great aspect of this tool is the large amount of video and audio formats supported. I won’t list them all here, but suffice it to say that none of the most popular (and many not so well known) formats has been left out of this list – AVI, FLV, MP4, MPEG, M2TS (Blu-ray quality), MP3, and WMA are but a few of them. As a user, however, more than the formats supported, I value the way the program makes use of them during the conversion process – its flexible batch re-encoding process allows you to mix on the conversion list video files in any of the formats supported and, what is more, assign a different output codec to each of them. Thus, you can perform as many conversions as required in one single operation, regardless of the number of input and output video formats involved.

To make things easier for everyone, this video conversion tool comes with a nice selection of device- and format-based output profiles. Thus, all you need to do is browse the list, select your preferred mobile phone, tablet, or any other media player, and let the program do the rest for you. More experienced users, though, can always tweak some of the default parameters assigned to each profile in order to fit their preferences more accurately.

Be it for its true batch conversion processes, the number of codecs supported, the extra editing and enhancing tools, or its rip/burn DVD capabilities, ACDSee Video Converter Pro is certainly a tool worth considering when looking for fast and reliable conversion tasks.
